Google has recently joined hands with Goibibo.com and introduced a new feature that lets users search, compare and book flights via the search engine on desktops, mobiles and tablets.
A user directly accessing Flight Search(www.google.co.in/flights) is presented with popular destinations the user might want to visit on a map and also cost of flights from users origin to major destinations like Mumbai,Pune,Delhi,Hyderabad and Bangalore etc appear .
Clicking on any of these options will take you to the full list of flights running on that route, and after selecting one of these flights you will be with options to book via the airline (which redirects to a purchase page on the given airline), or through Goibibo.
You can search for city-to-city flights with either one way, two-way or multi-city options.
The flight search has many interesting features like Displaying calendar in the departure date field, displaying the lowest fares for the route on the given day.
A lowest fares graph is also displayed, which would give you idea on how prices fluctuate based on seasons, holidays and other events.
The search lets you narrow down tickets based on class (economy, business, first class etc.), stops it will take, price range, airline brand, flight timings and duration of the flight.
